I have visited the day spa in Burr Ridge for a basic pedicure, and for two different water treatments. I recommend trying this out if you have the better part of a day to spend because the environment can be very nice (and the expense is worth making a day of it).
I love the hot tub, rain showers, synchronized shower heads, and steam room. The plunge pool is very cold, and DEEP! Be sure to have a friend with you if you actually experience the full round of hot/cold water experience. I also wished the hot tub water was hotter, but that may be just me.
There are basic treatment options like manicures and pedicures, and facials and massages. But the real reason to go to the Kohler Spas is the water treatments. I can't even begin to describe how the overhead arm filled with shower heads work to rinse you as you are laying down. And the Highland Splash treatment ends with a bucket of water tossed onto you! Crazy and fun.
After you've enjoyed your water treatments and fell in love with the fixtures, at the Burr Ridge day spa, you can walk over to the showroom and purchase the showerhead (tub and faucets) that you loved and have them installed in your own home! Unusual, yes - but thinking about it, why not bring the equipment right to you to purchase where you fell in love with it?
