Canyon Ranch SpaClub Las Vegas

The Canyon Ranch properties have a phenomenal reputation. Take a look at the Canyon Ranch Properties.

Canyon Ranch has a variety of property types to be explored, including destination resorts, hotel spaclubs, and spas on cruise ships. Here is a list of the Canyon Ranch property locations:

During a family trip to Las Vegas, and staying at The Palazzo, I managed to duck the family for a day of relaxation and pampering at the Venetian/Palazzo SpaClub. The SpaClub is centered around what they call Aquavana®, a European-inspired aquathermal experience:

designed to relax your muscles,
enrich your blood with oxygen,
and rid your body of toxins.

All this is in addition to the fitness center with a multitude of free weights and cardio equipment, rock-climbing wall, group fitness classes, and standard massage/facial/mani/pedi services. The specialists encourage you to devise your own journey through an astonishing range of multisensory experiences. Really? Really!

My visit to the Canyon Ranch SpaClub at the Venetian/Palazzo began with a light breakfast of a smoked salmon bagel sandwich and white tea at the cafe. The cafe on the Venetian side of the spa is open for breakfast and lunch. After breakfast I changed into my fitness gear and stashed my clothing in the locker room on the Palazzo side. Then it was back to the Venetian side for a treadmill workout. Cardio equipment came with iPod integration, individual entertainment centers with televisions and even games so your mind and body could be challenged at the same time. After 30 minutes on the treadmill I joined a complementary restorative yoga class. With just two participants in this hour-long group fitness class, each of us had personal attention. After the yoga class, I spent an hour on a stationary bike (great to finish watching the football game) and then wandered to the Palazzo side to decompress in the Aquavana® thermal spa. This series of hot/cool self-service water treatments were exactly what a tired body needed. The combination of steam room, sauna, rain showers, hot tub, and ice room, and other water services were heaven! After spending some time in my personal combination of water treatments, I retreated to the relaxation room with a cup of tea and some fruit and a magazine. Realizing I would love a late lunch, I enjoyed lobster cakes, salad, and a smoothie at the grill. The grill is on the Palazzo side, and has a more extensive menu than the cafe - including alcoholic beverages - and is open late into the afternoon. My day at the spa ended with a pedicure and Canyon Ranch's version of a moisturizing paraffin wax treatment for my hands. By the end of the day I was relaxed, rejuvenated, and ready for a great evening after rejoining the family.

The next time you are in Las Vegas, consider a time-out at the Canyon Ranch SpaClub in the Venetian and Palazzo.
